Hurricane Warning Policy - Resort Cancellations and Changes

In the event of a hurricane warning issued by the National Hurricane Center for either the Orlando area or your place of residence within 7 days of your scheduled arrival, Disney provides flexible booking protection for most reservations.

For Disney Resort Hotel Packages and Room-Only Reservations:

Disney will waive all cancellation and change fees for reservations booked directly through Walt Disney Travel Company. You may modify or cancel most reservations online, including adjusting your travel dates.

Third-Party Bookings and Special Events:

Please note that this policy does not extend to third-party suppliers included in your vacation package, such as:

  • Airlines
  • Non-Disney hotels
  • Car rental agencies
  • Travel insurance providers

You remain responsible for any non-refundable payments and fees assessed by these providers. Additionally, certain special events and dining experiences are excluded from this policy.

Additional Resort Coverage:

This hurricane policy also applies to Disney's Vero Beach Resort and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort when warnings are issued for those specific locations.
